In short

  • Adults only, and be kind.
  • No sexual content or services, and zero tolerance for anything involving minors.
  • Peer support, not professional advice.
  • Keep payments on Lasso.
  • Report anything that feels wrong; we review every report.

1.The spirit of Lasso

Lasso is about bringing people closer. Whether you are here to talk, listen, share or earn, treat everyone the way you would like to be treated: with kindness, honesty and respect. These guidelines apply to profiles, calls, booked calls, circles, live sessions, posts, messages and gifts, and to everyone on Lasso, including creators.

2.Adults only

Lasso is for people aged 18 and over. Don’t join if you are under 18, and don’t bring anyone under 18 onto a call or session. Report any account you think belongs to a minor.

3.Respect everyone

  • No harassment, bullying, stalking, threats or intimidation.
  • No hate or discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, region, language, appearance or any other identity.
  • No pressuring anyone to stay on a call, spend money, send gifts or share personal details.
  • Respect a “no” or a goodbye. Either person can end a call at any time.

4.No sexual content or services

  • No nudity, sexual acts or sexually explicit content on video, in photos, in posts or in messages.
  • No offering, asking for or arranging sexual services, and no sexual talk with anyone who hasn’t clearly welcomed it.
  • Never share or threaten to share intimate images of anyone.

Zero tolerance: any content that sexualises a minor leads to an immediate permanent ban and a report to law enforcement.

5.Look after wellbeing

  • Wellness buddies offer friendly, peer-to-peer support. They are not doctors or therapists, and nobody on Lasso should diagnose, prescribe or give professional advice.
  • Don’t encourage self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, dangerous challenges or substance misuse.
  • If someone seems to be in danger, encourage them to call 112, or Tele-MANAS on 14416 / 1-800-891-4416, and report it to us.

6.Be real and honest

  • Use your own photos, voice and details. No fake profiles or impersonation of another person, brand or organisation.
  • Don’t claim qualifications, credentials or results you don’t have.
  • Don’t share false information that could cause harm.

7.Fair play with money

  • Keep payments on Lasso. Don’t ask for or offer money, UPI transfers or gifts outside Lasso for Lasso conversations, and don’t share contact details to move paid conversations elsewhere.
  • Don’t buy, sell or trade coins or accounts.
  • No fake calls, fake bookings, self-dealing or multiple accounts to farm earnings or abuse offers.
  • No scams, phishing, begging for money, loans or investment schemes.

8.Respect privacy

  • Don’t record, screenshot or share calls, sessions or messages without everyone’s consent.
  • In the Lasso app, screenshots and screen recording are blocked on calls, live sessions, messages, profiles, galleries and circle feeds to protect everyone’s privacy. Receipts, transaction history and booking details can still be captured.
  • Don’t share anyone’s personal information (phone number, address, workplace, photos) without their permission.

9.Nothing illegal or harmful

No content or activity that breaks Indian law, including: drugs and other prohibited goods, weapons, gambling or betting, money laundering, violence or terrorism, content that threatens public order or the security of India, and copyright or trademark infringement.

10.Circles and live sessions

  • Hosts set the topic and rules for their circles and sessions, and should use the moderation tools to keep them safe and on-topic.
  • Members should follow the host’s rules as long as they are consistent with these guidelines.
  • No spam, repetitive promotion or flooding of feeds and chats.
  • Gifts in live sessions. In audio rooms, AMAs, workshops and game rooms, people in the session can send the host a gift to support the session. Gifting is always optional, and gifts never change how a session or game runs.
  • Hosts must not ask for gifts in exchange for specific acts or favours (for example “send a gift and I’ll do your request”, “gift to get a turn to speak”, or anything personal or sexual). Don’t pressure anyone to gift, and don’t treat people differently because of what they did or didn’t give. Saying thank you is fine.
  • If a host breaks this rule, please use Report. We review every report; breaking it can lead to the gifts being reversed and the host’s account being suspended.

11.Fair access to sessions

  • Hosts may choose to approve each RSVP or seat request, may decline a request before a session goes live, and may remove someone from a live session who breaks these guidelines or the session’s rules.
  • Hosts must not decline, refuse or remove anyone because of their gender, religion, caste, community, region, disability or any similar personal characteristic. Decide on things like room size, the topic of the session or behaviour, never on who someone is.
  • If a request isn’t approved, any amount held for it is refunded in full. If a host removes you from a paid session, your ticket is refunded in full. Nothing counts against you.
  • We look at how often hosts decline or remove people and review hosts whose numbers stand out. Misuse can lead to a warning, limits on hosting sessions, or the other actions listed below.

12.Reporting and what happens next

Use Report on any profile, call, booking, post, message or session. Reports are confidential: the person you report is not told who reported them. We review every report, act on it, and may contact you for more detail.

If we removed your content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, write to us through Help & support or contact the Grievance Officer. A person who wasn’t involved in the first decision will look at it again.
